Before First Use

Complete the safety, equipment, charging, skin, and environment checks required before your first session.

Complete every check below before using Serenity for the first time.

Review Safety Information

Inspect the Equipment

  • Confirm that the controller, electrode clips, and cables are clean and dry.
  • Do not use a controller that is cracked, swollen, wet, contaminated, unusually hot, or visibly damaged.
  • Do not use cables or clips that are frayed, cracked, corroded, sticky, discolored, or damaged.

Charge the Controller

  • Charge the controller fully before first use.
  • Disconnect the charging cable before preparing or starting a session.

Prepare the Environment and Skin

  • Choose a safe, dry place where you can remain seated or lying down.
  • Do not use Serenity while driving, operating machinery, near water, or during any activity that requires attention or balance.
  • Clean and dry both earlobes.
  • Do not place electrodes on broken, irritated, or infected skin.
  • Apply a small, pea-sized amount of conductive gel to each electrode contact.

Begin at the Lowest Intensity

Start every session at the lowest available intensity and increase only as needed for a comfortable experience.
